LG G2 priced starting at €599 in Germany

LG G2 priced starting at €599 in GermanyNow that the LG G2 launch is behind us, the main interest in LG's new flagship surrounds when it'll be available and what it'll cost.

We're still no closer than the eight-weeks ballpark figure on the former, but price-wise the G2 has just popped up for pre-order over in Germany for €599 (£516) SIM-free.

That's for the 16GB model – for the 32GB version you're up to €629 (£542). The price is quoted on German online retailer Notebooksbilliger, and shared with the wider world by Unwired View.

Sadly there's no claimed in-stock date, though even if there were it wouldn't necessarily apply here. For now we'll stick with LG's claim that it'll have the G2 available in 130 markets within the next eight weeks.

And as for the price? It's just about what we'd expect, to be honest. This is a major arrival on the smartphone market, and would be getting far more prominent coverage if it wasn't for the general indifference a lot of people have towards LG in general (and the coverage it's had via leaks ahead of time, to be fair).

The point is, this is a major player in the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One class, so no surprise to see it priced as such.

It'll flop, LG will do an awful job of supporting it...as usual.

I know I said it before, but heck, who's gonna delete MY post? :p Last LG phone model I have seen in Ireland is the original Viewty. Personally, I find their designs fairly rubbish. Kinda wannabe... This G2 looks okay - considering it's, well, a big screen with something on the back.
They stole the button thing from Acer of all sources... I thought that worked well, but on a slab of this size, I wonder... And I wonder if the volume rocker will be used for camera zoom - which should be fun that close to the lens.
