LG G4 render suggests curved Flex-style design

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9 have finally launched, so naturally we’re now demanding more about the imminent Sony Xperia Z4 and LG G4. And heck, not forgetting the Apple iPhone 6S.

It’s LG’s next flagship under the microscope here, and as we await an official launch date, a leaked G4 render suggests we should perhaps expect a curved design, not unlike LG’s other big phone.

The LG G4 render is shared by @OnLeaks, aka the guy from Nowhereelse.fr, which is generally quite reliable. Er, other than that time they said the Samsung Galaxy S6 would be all metal.

To be fair, the bloke describes the shot as an “Early (non final) LG G4 press render”. If this thing really is launching in April, it might be an idea to settle on a final design soon.

We’re also told LG G4 dimensions will be 148.9 x 76.5 x 9.9mm, which makes the LG G4 taller, wider and thicker than the LG G3 at 146.3 x 74.6 x 8.9 mm.

As such, it’s probably safe to infer that LG G4 specs will include a larger display and bigger battery. Having said that, a display larger than the 5.5in LG G3 sounds a bit mental. Is it just me, or is this starting to smell a little fishy?

The other obvious thing to take away from the LG G4 render is the curved design, which makes us wonder what the point in the LG G Flex 2 is, if the LG G4 is going to be similarly banana-like.

Other rumoured LG G4 specs include a fingerprint scanner, and top-of-the-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor.

Again, the LG G4 is tipped for launch in April, though the South Koreans haven’t said anything official just yet.
