LG has already announced its latest smartphones in the build-up to Mobile World Congress, but has decided to go through the process again and detail the whole lot on the eve of the Barcelona event.
A total of six new handsets have made their debut – namely the beefy Optimus 4X HD, the massive Optimus Vu, the 3D-tastic Optimus 3D Max, and the trio of L-Style models – the L3, L5 and L7 – which are targeting the lower end of the market.
The cream of the crop is undoubtedly the Optimus 4X HD with its quad-core Tegra 3 processor and 4.7in True HD IPS display, a handset LG is hoping will spearhead its assault on the upper reaches of the smartphone market.
‘In 2012, LG has been sure to reinforce its commitment to cutting edge technology and innovation,” said LG exec Steve Gater. “We're delighted to be bringing one of the first quad-core smartphones to the UK and to provide consumers with groundbreaking speed and power in the palm of their hand.”
“Great style and design has always been central to LG's mobile offering,” Gater added. “with L-Style we believe we have developed a truly unique identity that represents the next step in LG design.”
