Today’s highly anticipated Google Android event in New York has been shelved due to Hurricane Sandy, but we’ve still plenty of Nexus 4 goodness to chew on.
At this stage, launching the Nexus 4 in an official capacity is almost redundant, as there’s next to nothing that we don’t know.
One surprise thrown in by the Nexus 4 manual, however, is an induction coil for wireless charging.
There’s also – thankfully – mention of a 16GB model. We were concerned last week that the 8GB Nexus 4 would be the only model, as there’s definitely no microSD slot.
The previous Nexus smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, didn’t have microSD either. Ditto the Samsung-built Google Nexus S.
Other Nexus 4 specs include a 4.7in display (1280 x 768), a quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor at 1.5GHz, NFC (Near Field Communication), and an 8MP rear camera with 1080p video recording.
