Dual-core smartphones are a dime a dozen these days. There’s the HTC Sensation, the Motorola Atrix and the Samsung Galaxy S II, among others.
However the phone that beat all the rest to the proverbial punch was the LG Optimus 2X, as officially recognised in the Guinness World Records.
The LG Optimus 2X was debuted last December by the South Korean manufacturer, and they rightly boasted that it was, at the time, the “world’s most powerful smartphone.”
LG actually has a bit of a habit when it comes to world’s firsts. The LG Optimus 3D is the world’s first 3D smartphone, and the LG Optimus Pad is the world’s first 3D tablet.
Well done, old chaps.
