Can the LG Optimus 3D play 3D movies?

Does anyone know if the LG Optimus 3D can play 3D movies? Or is it a different type of 3D cos it's autostereoscopic??

Actually, it will play almost any 3D format movies, both on it's screen, dnla and via the mini HDMI connection to a 3D TV/monitor.
With the GB update there is even a 3D Video Editor app to create new video projects.
The default format is Half.SBS (SideBySide). If you own 3D Blu-rays there's several applications that will allow you to rip them to digital copies. The triple play ones come with the digital copy already on the disc. There are 3D videos available to download via the LG Smartworld app or to stream via the 3D Youtube app.
You can try Google for Half.SBS content or download legit demo's from here;

Afaik only the 3D movies shot with the LG's cam will play.
But to be honest...I have no clue if there's a workaround.

Jan's right, the only 3D content that can be displayed, video wise, is video shot on the Optimus' camera(s).
