LG Optimus 4X HD made official

LG Optimus 4X HD made officialFor furg’s sake, at this rate we might as well tear up our tickets for Barcelona, as yet another handset has been detailed ahead of Mobile World Congress.

Already this week we’ve met the LG Optimus Vu, three L-Style phones and the LG Optimus 3D Max, and now Lucky Goldstar has lifted the lid on the LG Optimus 4X HD.

The LG Optimus 4X HD is the phone we’ve been referring to as the LG Optimus 3X for the past few weeks, and is a successor of sorts to the LG Optimus 2X – the world’s first dual-core smartphone.

In terms of specs, the rumour mill was pretty much spot on. The LG Optimus 4X HD has a quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 4.7in ‘True HD IPS’ display and Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0).

Other LG Optimus 4X HD specs include 1GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, a 2,150mAh battery, an 8MP/1.3MP camera combo and a thickness of just 8.9mm.

Presumably the LG Optimus 4X HD will be available for all to fondle at Mobile World Congress next week.

I predict: sexy phone, awful software. A usual LG job basically.

My post from the other story that might help people:

"Oddly, it’ll initially ship with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)."

And therein lies the reason why I will never touch a P-O-S LG mobile phone again once I get rid of my 2x.

They always rush out the newest hardware, which is usually pretty good to be fair, but they bog it down with old software that is full of their own rubbish customisations.

Even if they promised me on their mothers life that ICS would be out for this phone within a day of release, I still wouldn't believe them... and even if it did come out it would be crap.

PLEASE DON'T BUY LG PHONES, you'll regret it just like I still do.

As I said to your comment on the other post; you have a fair point, LG couldn't make decent software to save their lives.

LG haven't been Lucky Goldstar for many many years.. but i agree with the comments about them they should really stick to TVs and leave the mobile market alone
