The fact that the LG Optimus G2 has been leaked in both pictures (again) and hands-on video will come as little surprise – though we’re admittedly really looking forward to meeting the high-end fella.
The more interesting story for our money is that the LG Optimus G2 will become the Google Nexus 5 in time for Halloween. Oh yes.
Meanwhile, we’ve got PhoneArena relaying LG Optimus G2 specs, starting with a 5.2in 1080p display. Interestingly, that's bigger than the 4.7in LG Optimus G but smaller than the 5.5in 1080p LG Optimus G Pro.
Other LG Optimus G2 specs include a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 2 or 3GB of RAM, a 13MP rear camera, 2,700mAh battery, dual speakers, and Jelly Bean (Android 4.2.2).
They’re also saying that the LG Optimus G2 will morph into the Google Nexus 5, much like the LG Optimus G did the Google Nexus 4. Hopefully that means wallet-friendliness, too.
LG Optimus G2 and Google Nexus 5 specs are much the same, but with the latter probably debuting a spanking new version of Android, namely Key Lime Pie (Android 5.0).
The LG Optimus G2 is expected to launch on August 7, with the release following shortly thereafter, while the Google Nexus 5 is tipped for October.
