A few weeks ago I wrote LG Optimus G arrives in the UK. Does anyone care? What we really want to see is the LG Optimus G Pro (pictured), or – better still – the long-rumoured LG Optimus G2.
Well, despite being entirely unofficial at this stage, the latest whispers suggest we mightn’t have long to wait till the LG Optimus G2’s UK release, with it touching down – supposedly – as early as Q3.
The original LG Optimus G kinda morphed into the Google Nexus 4, and recently arrived in the UK priced £469.99 at Expansys (now £454.99). Speechless.
Indeed, it’s hard to imagine how the LG Optimus G2 can improve on the LG Optimus G Pro’s 5.5in 1080p display, 2GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera and meaty 3,140mAh battery.
One suggestion is that the LG Optimus G2 will rock none other than the Snapdragon 800, a step up from the Snapdragon 600 found on the LTE versions of the Samsung Galaxy S4.
In any case, Pocket-lint’s unspecified source confirms that the LG Optimus G2 will hit the UK in Q3 or Q4, just in time to do some sparring with the iPhone 5S and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 et al.
