The original LG Optimus Pad made its debut at Mobile World Congress last February, alongside the LG Optimus 3D. Y’know, back when everyone thought 3D was the future. I furging told you it was rubbish.
Impromptu rant about 3D aside, Martinez wrote a bit about the LG Optimus Pad 2 the other week. There wasn’t a great deal to report at the time; all we had to go on was a single blurrycam shot. Now we gots more info.
Fresh new details and pics of the LG Optimus Pad 2 have emerged from Korea, home of the Lucky Goldstar folks. Makes sense, I guess.
The LG Optimus Pad 2 will reportedly feature an 8.9in display (same as the original) with 768x1280 resolution (same as the original), and a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor.
In camera town, the dual 5MP shooter has been dropped in favour of a single 8MP set-up, with 1.3MP on the front for sexy webcam action.
Honeycomb (Android 3.1) will reportedly steer the LG Optimus Pad 2 ship when it sets sail, but an update to Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) will follow. At some point.
Price? Release date? Top secret for now, sir.
