Yeah, I know what you’re thinking, bro. ‘Wasn’t the LG Optimus G Pro already announced?’ Indeed it was. Indeed it was.
However, that particular model was destined for Japan, and we’re told that a second LG Optimus G Pro is headed for Mobile World Congress. Oh, and don’t confuse it/them with the years-old LG Optimus Pro. Sigh. I hate smartphone names.
To quickly recap, the Japanese LG Optimus G Pro had a 5in 1080p display, 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, and 13MP rear camera.
The new LG Optimus G Pro is said to have a 5.5in 1080p display, while upping the battery from 3,000mAh to 3,140mAh.
Brilliantly, while the LG Optimus G Pro will have a decent 32GB internal storage, it’ll also welcome a microSD card. Good stuff.
At present, this second LG Optimus G Pro is seemingly bound for South Korea, with an MWC launch looking likely later this month.
