LG Optimus Vu is 4:3, looks intriguingIf someone had told me I’d be fascinated by a 30-second trailer for a new LG smartphone, I would’ve slapped that someone’s face. But you know what? I’d be obliged to let that someone slap me back.

Y’see, Lucky Goldstar has posted a trailer for the LG Optimus Vu, and it’s quite an interesting watch.

The big talking point with the LG Optimus Vu is that its 5in display has an aspect ratio of 4:3. What the…? LG reckons that makes it more comfortable to hold. Makes sense, I guess.

Other rumoured LG Optimus Vu specs include a 1.5GHz Qualcomm APQ8060 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB ROM, an 8MP rear camera and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). The LG Optimus Vu has four capacitive buttons along the bottom.

We’re not entirely sure when the LG Optimus Vu is expected to land, or if it’ll see a release outside of LG’s native South Korea. We’ll be popping along to LG’s stand at Mobile World Congress for answers.

In the meantime, you can check out the LG Optimus Vu trailer on YouTube.

More comfortable to hold? LG doesn't stand for Logic Gain, but hey...

Wouldn't it depend on the overall size and then some? Concrete blocks are 4:2, but I think 4:3 wouldn't make them any easier to work with :p

Anytime...I'll have to see if I can get my hands on one (my brother-in-law and a couple of mates work for them).

4:3 so itll be pretty fat then? Dear god how big are these phones going to get, I finally had a chance to hold a Galaxy Nexus and trustme, I have big hands, but that phone is too large. 4" is pushing it. 3.7" or 3.5" is ideal really
