Last week, Lucky Goldstar teased the LG Optimus Vu, an intriguing device that straddles the smartphone-tablet boundary. Of course, by its very nature, it’ll be in direct competition with Samsung’s Galaxy Note.
Now the LG Optimus Vu has been pictured sitting side by side with its rival, giving us a good idea how it’ll look in the real world (as opposed to floating around in a video).
Interestingly, while the 5.3in Samsung Galaxy Note is taller than the 5in LG Optimus Vu (makes sense), the latter is actually noticeably wider – thanks to its 4:3 aspect ratio. A short, fat Samsung Galaxy Note? Who wouldn’t want an LG Optimus VU? I jest. Mostly.
Rumoured LG Optimus Vu specs include a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm APQ8060 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal storage, an 8MP rear camera and – for now at least – Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).
LG’s Mobile World Congress stall is actually shaping up quite nicely, with the quad-core LG X3 also tipped for an appearance. Only a couple of weeks to go, kids.
