LG has a somewhat bizarre relationship with the UK. Over the past few years, we’ve tended to see more of the low-end stuff than wallet-busting flagships like the LG Optimus G Pro.
But there’s good news if you’re keen to get your hands on the “highly-awaited” and “impressive” (in LG’s own words) LG G Pad 8.3 , as it’s confirmed for release in the UK and Ireland. Huzzah?
LG confirms the news in a press release, revealing the LG G Pad 8.3 price as £259.99, which – perhaps crucially – undercuts the iPad mini by £9.01. At least there’s logic at work there.
The LG G Pad 8.3 will be picked up by distributor Micro P in the UK, while Irish consumers can grab the tablet exclusively from Harvey Norman.
The press release says the LG G Pad 8.3 will be released in Ireland “from the end of October”, though there’s no specific word on a UK release date.
In any case, LG G Pad 8.3 specs include – yes – an 8.3in display (1920 x 1200, 273PPI), quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, 5MP/1.3MP rear/front cameras, Jelly Bean Android 4.2.2, and a 4,600mAh battery.
