Florin and chums, over on Unwired View, have been poring over a leaked XML file, which ultimately suggests that a new LG device, model number P930, is in the works, with a high-res 720x1280 display.
That’s the kind of resolution that’s usually reserved for tablets, so is a sequel to the world’s first 3D slate, the LG Optimus Pad, on the cards? Well, not if LG’s naming convention is anything to go by.
As Florin notes, LG’s smartphone model numbers invariably begin with a P. There’s the P990 (LG Optimus 2X) and P970 (LG Optimus Black) among others.
Meanwhile, the LG Optimus Pad carries the model number V900. Can we assume that all LG tablets will adopt the same VXXX format?
