LG has never really been one for subtlety, and as such it comes as little surprise to discover this YouTube video, effectively saying: “HEY GUYS, WE’RE LAUNCHING THE LG G3 IN TWO WEEKS. DON’T FORGET.”
Lasting a mere 35 seconds, the teaser doesn’t give a great deal away about the LG G3 (certainly nothing that we didn’t know already), but let’s nibble on the bones and see what’s what.
One of the most interesting things about the LG G3’s design is that brushed effect on the rear, and while it looks pretty metallic, it’s thought to be plastic as opposed aluminium.
We can also see that intriguing crucifix-style layout on the rear. Below the rear camera sit the volume and power buttons (as was the case on last year’s LG G2), and to the right is the flash.
But what the heck is that to the left of the LG G3’s camera lens? It’s appears identical in size to the flash, but it’s black. Almost certainly too small to be a fingerprint scanner.
One theory is that we’re looking at some sort of infrared “laser beam” technology, ultimately yielding better shots in low light.
