LG Prada 3.0 to cost around £500

LG Prada 3.0 to cost around £500Online retailer The Order gave us an idea of the cost of the imminent Samsung Galaxy M Pro yesterday, and now it’s taking a stab at the price for the recently announced LG Prada 3.0.

For a relatively high-specced designer phone, the LG Prada 3.0 weighs in at a fairly reasonable £499.99. Well, according to The Order anyways, currently the only retailer on Google Shopping with an LG Prada 3.0 listing.

The LG Prada 3.0 is – as the name suggests – the third outing for LG and Prada, and was unveiled in London earlier this week. The original LG Prada was one of the first all-touch phones, and LG has previously suggested that Apple essentially nicked the idea with the iPhone.

This third installment has a 4.3in display, dual-core processor, 8MP/1.3MP camera combo, and some sort of leather cover on the rear. Hmm. The Prada 3.0 will rock Gingerbread (Android 2.3) initially, but an update to Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) is promised.

What kind of man buys an LG Prada 3.0, I wonder. There could be a feature in that, come to think of it.

We’re expecting the LG Prada 3.0 to touch down early in 2012, just in time for Chri… no, wait.

Seems like a pie in the sky figure that, i'd imagine it'll be more around the same price as the Nokia Lumia 800.

Im shocked... a rebadged optimus 2x for a cool 500 quid...

a (simply poor) 1ghz dual core chip... 480x800 pixel screen and a leather back...

hmm ill take the razr thanks looks soo much better.

Em treab think you have missed a few things mate... It has a new display, one that's better than the LG black or whatever its called (its quite a decent display, even better than the O2x and its 4.3" not 4)and iirc its not using a Tegra 2 chip its using a TI chip (4430 i think?) so it is different in a fair few aspects :).

I want my HD2 back from the grave as i prefer that to all smartphones for some reason :D.

Well in the world of 720p screens its not brilliant for a 500 quid phone to be that low...

i dont care about an extra .3" hardly the biggest leap ever..

and well considering TI have a 1.5ghz chip and there exist kalel 5 core chips why not lead the charge again and go quad core?

Hate to do it, but I have to agree with Treab here. This is a bigger up 2x/3D copy with the Prada logo stuck on it. Seeing as you can pick up the 2x for around 200 quid nowadays, this suddenly seems like a massive rip off. This is the same processor as the RAZR but clocked at a lower speed, OMAP processors aren't great even when they're clocked at a decent speed.

And i have to say.

i think the razr is more stylish and has better features rather than... you can have your icons in black and white...

seriously? even motorola has motocast allowing you to access your pc on your phone and stream music/films etc...

hicks12  Dec. 18, 2011 at 03:16

I wasnt disagreeing with you i was merely saying it has a bit more than what you said :), i agree that its a pretty poor effort considering the O2x on a custom rom = epic and its cheap as chips... no reason to buy anything else in that price range!.

And yeah the RAZR is looking like a better alternative.

ahh we know bro ;) but we have to mess with you :p

I suppose what we have to remember is that this is meant to be a fashion accessory with a phone attached to it as opposed to the latest high end superphone.

Loving the Razr talk aha^

I'm with treab as well. £500 for a phone that should be around £399 at the most. There are much better phones on the market at the moment for £250-£350
