Now, five years on, LG and Prada have announced that they’ll team up once again for the third installment in the LG Prada series. Er, we kinda knew that already, guys.
The press release doesn’t specifically mention the LG Prada "K2", but the teaser pic certainly ties in with the images we’ve seen in recent leaks.
No official specs to go on either at this early stage, but the LG Prada K2 has previously been rumoured to have a 4.3in display, 8MP/1.3MP camera combo, and some sort of as-yet-unspecified dual-core processing action.
Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) will captain the LG Prada K2 ship, and it’s thought to be just 9mm thick (or thin). That’s still a good couple of millimeters off being the world’s thinnest smartphone, however.
The original LG Prada was the world’s first touchscreen smartphone, and the successor – released in December 2008 – added a QWERTY keyboard. So there.
