We reckon Samsung’s rivals must be pooing their pants just a little at the prospect of the quad-core Galaxy S III. Chances are it’ll be one of the phones of the year.
LG, for one, is said to be fortifying its defenses, with a spanking new flagship codenamed the D1L.
At Mobile World Congress in February, LG revealed the Optimus 3D Max (meh), Optimus Vu (meh), and the quad-core Optimus 4X (hmm). Oh, and those three L-Style thingies.
The South Korean manufacturer is said to be unhappy with its current flagship effort, and hopes to give the Samsung Galaxy S III a run for its money with this LG D1L.
Rumoured LG D1L specs at the moment include a 4.7in display (1280 x 720), 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, and Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0).
According to DDaily’s sources, the D1L (which will presumably be called the LG Optimus something-or-other) will arrive in May. Is Samsung bothered? We doubt it.
