LG reveals Optimus Hub, modest Optimus One successor

LG reveals Optimus Hub, modest Optimus One successorLucky Goldstar has officially lifted the lid on the handset formerly referred to as the LG Univa. The name on the birth certificate is officially: LG Optimus Hub.

Is it just us, or is the name LG Optimus Hub a bit pants? It sound less like a smartphone and more like a, y’know, hub. To think that someone got paid to come up with that name…

Anyway! The LG Optimus Hub is a little less modest than the popular LG Optimus One, and boasts slightly improved specs in almost every department.

The display is stretched from 3.2in to an iPhone-esque 3.5in, the snapper now weighs in with not 3MP but 5MP, video is captured in 24fps instead of 18fps, and the processor is juiced from 600MHz to 800MHz. Oh, and it runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).

The LG Optimus Hub is scheduled to land in Italia in October for €199 (£175). Will it see a UK release? More news as we get it, peeps.
