Mobile World Congress is still 13 days away, but South Korea’s LG has fired out what is almost certainly the first MWC 2013 press release.
Said press release details the all-new L-Series II, which answers the whole “new series” question posed last week.
LG’s L-Series was originally launched this time last year, with the LG Optimus L3, Optimus L5 and Optimus L7.
No prizes for guessing that these new chaps are called the LG Optimus L3 II, Optimus L5 II and Optimus L7 II.
These new guys are less harsh than the originals, with rounded corners and what LG describes as Seamless Layout, Laser Cut Contour, Radiant Rear Design and Smart LED Lighting on the home button.
The dual-SIM version of the LG Optimus L7 II lands in Russia this week, with a 4.3in IPS display, 1GHz dual-core processor, 768MB of RAM, 4GB internal storage (with microSD support for expansion), an 8MP rear camera, Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) and a 2,460mAh battery.
Full specs for the LG Optimus L3 II and Optimus L5 II are unclear at this stage, though the former will have a 3.2in display and 1,540mAh battery, while the latter will have a 4in display and 1,700mAh battery.
We expect to learn more about price and availability for all three come Mobile World Congress.
