South Korean manufacturer LG has fair pulled its socks up of late, due in no small part to the success it had with the wallet-friendly Google Nexus 4.
As such, we’re more than just vaguely interested to see what it brings to the proverbial table in New York on August 7, and the latest whispers suggest no less than three new LG smartphones.
The big daddy is of course something we’ve been referring to as the LG Optimus G2, which is pretty much confirmed as running the lofty Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.
Other LG Optimus G2 specs will probably include a 5.5in 1080p display (same as the LG Optimus G Pro), 13MP rear camera, 2GB of RAM and Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean).
In addition, we’re told to expect the LG Optimus L9 2, which I scribbled about the other day. It sits around the middle of the spec ladder, and is expected to land with a 4.7in 720p display and dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor.
Near the bottom rung, we have something with model number D500. Rumoured LG D500 specs include a qHD resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 5MP rear camera, and not quite the latest version of Android – Jelly Bean 4.1.2.
Not a bad little line-up; covering all bases, Samsung-style.
