LG unveils white Google Nexus 4, no spec upgrade at all

LG unveils white Google Nexus 4, no spec upgrade at allWe've all been waiting for it, and finally it's here – the next Nexus smartphone has just been made official.

And the hero feature? A new version of Android? Nope. An upgraded spec? Nope. In fact, the big selling point of the latest Google-branded Nexus device is its colour: white.

Yip, the heavily rumoured white Google Nexus 4 has just been made official by LG, and aside from being white it's identical to the existing model.

That means you're still looking at a 4.7in display (1280 x 768), a quad-core S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.

Sadly, then, hopes of a more spacious 32GB variant, a new and improved Android 4.3 Jelly Bean or an upgrade to LTE networking were wishful thinking. It's literally just the existing model dressed in white.

LG tells us the white Google Nexus 4 will start rolling out in Hong Kong tomorrow, with the rest of the world to follow over the next couple of weeks.
