It was around a month ago that LG announced the G Watch, and while it’s not officially a Nexus device, it is being developed in close collaboration with good old Google.
One month on, LG has served a ton of G Watch info by way of the official LG G Watch site, encompassing both colours and durability. Let’s take a closer look.
We already knew the LG G Watch would be one of the first devices with Android Wear on board – if not the first, and on that note we’re told the smartwatch is “always-on”, welcoming “Ok Google” commands.
As for LG G Watch colours, it’ll come in Stealth Black and Champagne Gold. More specifically, the latter appears to have a gold face and white strap.
The LG Watch is also water and dust-resistant. LG says that you can wear the G Watch “during outdoor activities in rough conditions”, and presumably you can wear it in the shower, too.
There’s no mention yet of further LG G Watch specs, battery life and display size for example, but with the release date penciled in for Q2, we’ll inevitably hear more sooner rather than later.
Again, we’re thinking this is a different device than the rumoured Nexus smartwatch, which is – or was – supposedly being built by LG. Confused? Us too.
