Woah, that headline was quite heavy on the abbreviations. In case you’re completely befuddled, I was just saying that Lucky Goldstar, the Korean electronics guys, appear to have a Windows Phone 7 smartphone in the works, and it’ll rock Internet Explorer 9.
The leak comes courtesy of a .xml file, which refers to a handset called the “LG-E700”. The file also mentions Internet Explorer 9, which is expected in the next big WP7 update, codenamed Mango.
There’s absolutely nothing else to go on at the moment; no price, no release date, no picture. So, er, time for a spot of speculation.
Mango is expected later in the year, or at the very outside early in 2012. I guess we can expect the LG-E700 around the same time, assuming it'll be one of the first smartphones to ship with Mango.
We’ll let you know as soon as the LG-E700 becomes more than a mere mention in a .xml file.
