How long do I have to change my mind about a phone?

How long do I have to change my mind about a phone? Is 14 days standard, or does it vary with retailer, contract v SIM free, etc? I haven't decided which route to go down, so just asking in theory :D

It varies in terms of which channel you buy from. E.g usually if you buy online/on phone you get 14 days. But if you buy in store you have less time.

It's worth reading the returns policy on the website of the network/supplier you are using.

Not sure about the UK. In Ireland it varies from Network to network. 2 weeks is the most. But not all do it in a no-quibble fashion like O2. Most want a good reason.

I think even 14 days is optimistic in most cases, and if damaged in any way I'd say chances are nil, so looking at an iphone 5 the wrong way could mean they wouldn't take it back.
