The Google Nexus 5 in red popped up a couple of weeks ago in Vietnam of all places, and what do you know?
The Google Nexus 5 is officially now available in Bright Red, the perfect high-tech Valentine’s gift if you happen to have a few hundred quid down the back of the couch.
The Bright Red Google Nexus 5 joins the boring old black and white models, and is available to buy immediately from Google Play. Yes, even here in the UK.
Priced the same as the existing models, you can grab the Bright Red Google Nexus 5 with 16GB internal storage for £299, while £339 doubles storage to 32GB.
Carphone Warehouse will also stock the Bright Red Google Nexus 5, coming in at £298 SIM free, and presumably with free delivery. Contract options will also be offered, naturally.
As for Bright Red Google Nexus 5 specs, they’re identical too, so you’re getting a 4.95in 1080p display, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 8MP/1.3MP cameras, and KitKat Android 4.4.
The Google Nexus 5 is loosely based on the LG G2, with one of the main gripes being the former’s slightly modest 2,300mAh battery. That's compared to 3,000mAh on the big chap.
The rumour mill also suggests a yellow Google Nexus 5 will follow shortly. Buttery.
