There has been a lot of concern/speculation lately that HTC’s “Magic Pen” for its Flyer tablet would cost a whopping £47.99. After all, that’s how much it appears for in the Accessories section of HTC’s dedicated Flyer Store.
However, it now seems that that'll be the price of a replacement, if you happen to lose the stylus provided. PC World, for one, says: “And with the supplied magic pen you can draw, paint, write, and even retouch your photos.”
That’ll no doubt come as a relief for those eager to get their hands on HTC’s tablet. The HTC Flyer already costs a fairly hefty £599.99 for the 32GB Wi-Fi and 3G version, and £479.99 for the 16GB Wi-Fi only edition.
HTC’s official store is offering the option to pre-register at the moment, with no specific release date mentioned. PC World is saying May 17, while Amazon reckons June 1.
The HTC Flyer has a 7in screen, 1.5GHz processor, 5MP camera on the rear and 1.3MP front-facing for video calling. Oddly, it'll run Gingerbread (Android 2.3) and not Honeycomb (Android 3.0).
