skype and angry birds are (ab rio isn't on uk one though oddly), they talked about facebook so that must be. Dropbox is, no skydrive or adrive.
Opera is on uk amazon, no firefox or chrome
As matt mentioned Nova3 I'll mention that that's not on there either, nor dead trigger.

What do you consider a major app? Some would call Skype a major must-have apps, or Angry Birds.... C'mon... It really makes more sense for you to ask if certain apps ARE available.
I hate FB, Dropbox, etc etc... so, to ME they are not big losses if absent.

Yikes sorry ;)

Ok let's say major = popular. If Facebook wasn't available that'd be a pretty big deal even though you don't like it :p

I just mean have there been any major "woah, you can't get X on the Android Market stories"? Thanks :D

hahaha....
No, actually. Except: 3rd-party browsers could be an issue? But to be honest, I have never even looked at the Amazon app store :p

The Amazon app store app was using so much RAM on my phone (and demanding a credit card be tied to my account) I uninstalled it after about 5 mins, so I have no idea what's missing.

How an app store uses more RAM than NOVA3 is beyond my comprehension...

Reminds me of the Kindle App for Mac and PC... such hogs. I don't wanna know what they do in the background ;)

KIES......MWHAHAHAHA.

Sorry, every time someone mentions crap software, that name pops into my head. I dread to think what a personal data farm like Amazon is doing in the background. Probably uploading your entire hard drive contents, unencrypted, to their "cloud" servers, or something equally invasive.

Indeed.
Accessing amazon from an unsecured pc/browser is creepy enough (had some really odd recommendations wink wink)... on an Android device? whoa :p

gizmodo came up with this list of "great" apps
http://www.gizmodo.co.uk/2012/09/7-great-android-apps-you-cant-get-on-the-kindle-fire/
One of them (photoshop touch) isn't on Nexus 7 judging by reviews either.
