Woah, good timing. I’ve just this minute posted a deal for the spanking new Microsoft Lumia 535, and here its little brother has just been born.
As the Lumia numbering system dictates: the higher the number, the better the specs. As such, it comes as little surprise that the Microsoft Lumia 435 is essentially a smaller, more affordable version of the Lumia 535. Full dissection below.
The Microsoft Lumia 535 isn’t exactly high-end or even midrange, so there wasn’t exactly a great deal of room to manoeuvre at the low end, but the Lumia 435 manages it with – among other things – a smaller display, lower resolution, and fewer megapixels.
Microsoft Lumia 435 vs. Microsoft Lumia 535
Microsoft Lumia 435 specs include a 4in display with 480 x 800 resolution (vs. 5in 540 x 960), dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor (vs. quad-core), 2MP rear camera (vs. 5MP), VGA front camera (vs. 5MP), and 1,560mAh battery (vs. 1,905mAh).
Shared Microsoft Lumia 535 and Lumia 435 specs include 1GB of RAM, 8GB expandable storage (welcoming up to 128GB via microSD), and of course Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim.
Microsoft is sweetening the Lumia 435 deal with 30GB of OneDrive storage, and free global navigation with HERE Maps and HERE Transit.
Colours are black, white, orange and green, and Microsoft Lumia 435 price is set at €69 (£54ish), coming to select European and Asian markets from February.
