We're still enjoying the (relative) calm before the IFA 2014 storm kicks into high gear tomorrow, which means one last round of leaks, rumours, invitations and the like.
Microsoft will be announcing the Lumia 730/735 and 830 on Thursday, and its event invitation centres around the hero feature of the Lumia 730 – the Selfie Phone.
The latest Lumia arrival is expected to feature a 4.7in 720p display, Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage and a 2000mAh battery.
More importantly, though, it has a 5MP front-facing camera – the basis for the 'Selfie Phone' moniker. So what better way to promote it than to use a selfie in the invitation?
If you're a selfie convert, you'll appreciate the detail, balance and depth of the snap in question (assuming it was actually taken on a Lumia 730/735). Aside from the camera itself, the latest Lumia releases will come with Windows Phone 8.1 and plenty of camera-tastic software Microsoft inherited from Nokia.
If you're not a fan, of course, you'll point to the invite being a photo of three smiling somebodies rather than anything to do with the phone itself as an example of all that's wrong in the world.
In which case, head this way for some leaked pics of the handsets themselves. See? Now everyone can be happy.
