I won’t lie to you; HTC’s 2013 output has me well and truly baffled, but a quick Mobo-search indicates that I’d previously deduced: HTC M4 = HTC First – Facebook Home + UltraPixels. Ah, that one.
HTC M4 specs were leaked a couple of weeks ago, and the latest murmurings suggest it’ll start shipping in June.
The June shipments for the HTC M4 are mentioned by DigiTimes, in an article purportedly outing Catcher Technology as the exclusive supplier of the phone’s metal-alloy chassis.
Encompassed in that chassis are a 4.3in 720p display, 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, an UltraPixel rear camera, 16GB internal storage, and Jelly Bean (Android 4.2.2).
While the HTC First will rock Facebook Home, the HTC M4 comes pre-loaded with a big slather of Sense 5.0. Worth noting that Facebook Home can be disabled on the HTC First, revealing stock Android.
Presumably the HTC M4 will get some sort of, like, proper name before it launches. The HTC M7, of course, became the HTC One, though we’ve been promised it’s the one and only One this year.
