The latest HTC Zara leak includes a lovely picture, while the aforementioned specs are largely reiterated. If the notion of a plastic HTC One floats your boat, consider your boat, er, afloat.
For all intents and purposes, the HTC Zara appears to be a slightly smaller version of the HTC One, with significantly more modest specs and a plastic shell.
Specifically, HTC Zara specs are said to include a 4.5in display (960 x 540), dual-core MSM8930 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage (augmentable via microSD), Jelly Bean Android 4.3, HTC sense 5.5, and a 2,100mAh battery.
Interestingly, the HTC Zara camera is listed as 8MP, which presumably means the UltraPixel thing is out of the window – here at least.
As for the HTC Zara design, it looks very much like an HTC One, specifically on account of those front-firing stereo speakers.
@evleaks mentions Q4 without specifying what that means exactly. If it’s the HTC Zara release date, there’s always the chance it’ll pop up at IFA 2013 next month in Berlin.
Finally, you might notice the slightly confusing @urbanstrata watermark on the HTC Zara pic. That pertains to HTC's Senior Global Online Communications Manager, Jeff Gordon.
See, evleaks recently leaked "non-final artwork" for the imminent HTC One Max on Google+, causing Gordon to cry "Fake!" and suggest that evleaks was "way off his game".
Over on twitter Gordon says: "Welcome to my new followers. If you're here because u saw my Twitter handle watermarked in an alleged leaked image, yes, I'm being trolled." Brilliant.
