No Milestone 3 for UK, but…

No Milestone 3 for UK, but…Clove has served up two spicy dishes of Motorola news; one foul enough to make our faces implode, while the other raised the eyebrows off our collective Mobohead.

First up, we’ve got the news that the Droid 3 – or Motorola Milestone 3, as it would’ve been called over here – won’t be coming to the United Kingdom. Clove isn’t entirely sure why, though it speculates that poor sales of the Motorola Milestone 2 might be to blame.

But it’s not all bad news if you had your heart set on some MotoQWERTY action. A certain keyboarded chap, who reportedly burned his ticket to the UK, is apparently making the transatlantic voyage after all.

Available in the US for yonks (and indeed Yanks), the Motorola Pro is “back on track” according to Clove. It has a 3.1in display with a candybar QWERTY form, 8GB of storage and a 5MP camera. On the poo side, it’ll ship with Android 2.2 (Froyo).

The Motorola Pro is expected “mid-July”, and will set you back £420 SIM free.

Great - another Motorola phone with substandard and outdated software. Why are these guys still in business?
