Could my mobile number have been cloned?

Someone says I sent them rude text messages, which is absolutely not true. Is there some way someone could’ve cloned my number, or make it seem like the texts came from me?

my friend is getting calls from my phone number, but they are not coming from my phone. I have been sitting rite there when it happened and my phone was definately not calling hers. WTH is going on here?

There are some online services that allow you to send sms via the web. But usually you need to logine with your phone number, and you would get an sms yourself to confirm that YOU sent a message.
Hmmm... ?

Just ring up the network and ask them about the usage on your phone. If its a contract and you can wait long enough for it to be calculated just look at the summary bill online and check whether you made a text message at the date and time that marry up with the recipients text.

Also, have you checked in your 'sent' box to see if the text was sent from your phone by someone else?

Yes, some good suggestions here. Also: when you say the text came from your number - was that really your NUMBER, OR your name? Maybe someone punked you - created a 'you' in tha recipient's phonebook but with another number. And when that text appeared, your name pops up as the sender...though it was actually a different number.
And as already said, check with customer care to see if the message centre processed an sms from your number to the recipient at the given time. It is a serious allegation, and theu should oblige to resolve the issue.

Just checked my sentbox, can't see anything outgoing. The text definitely came from my number, not just some other number with my name on it. I'll give network a call

Yes, best to contact customer care. Pranks (?) like that can escalate. There's nothing funny about it.
