Anyone use a mobile signal booster?

The signal in my flat is terrible! Does anyone use a mobile signal booster? Do they work well?

I have read mixed accounts.
One problem is: while they can effectively boost one phone's reception, that, in turn, can interfere with other phones in the household that are on a different network.

Your network possibly sells them, and if so, have a look around their support forums.

Tried to install one of these once. Didn't go all that well simply because I didn't think things through properly. It said "Provides signal over 100 square metres", which sounds like a lot until you think that's 10 by 10 metres. Making it worse is that this results in 5 metres in any direction from the box, which is most likely going to be situated on a wall, so 5 is your max range. And in that 5 metres it goes from full signal to zero so the last 2/3 metres is iffy at best. Added to this was the bosters general unreliability with fluctuating strengths did not make a happy camper
