Mobot... crashing Firefox?

Anyone else experiencing problems when using Mobot with Firefox (various versions)?
The last few days FF's Java plugin cr*ps out after prolonged times on Mobot. Only on Mobot.

Why are you using Firefox ;)? Also, I'll download it and see if I can replicate what you're experiencing.

Why indeed... hahaha it has some plugins I like. And on Ubuntu there isn't anything better.
Not a fan of Opera for Desktop, either.

Isn't there both Chrome and Chromium for Ubuntu? What's wrong with those? I find Chrome is the quickest and most stable (due to each tab being a separate process) browser on "proper" computers.

Yes, Chrome's okay. Guess it's the force of habit ;)

No, oddly, happens on Ubuntu, Win XP and Lion... 2 different networks o_O

But I haven't completely figured out the pattern.
Possibly not mobot's fault.

I'm now using Firefox on my W7 laptop, I'll see how things go with it. If I have any issues, I shall let you know. I think I'll only use FF for Mobot, so I can eliminate some other variables.

Running Firefox 14.0.1 on W7 and not crashed on any sites for longer than I can recall.

Why FF? It's nowhere near as good as Chrome.

Why would I switch from something that does what I want it to do to something that I'd have to set up from scratch and hunt for suitable add ons for how I like it?

Speed?

Not finding it slow. But with a half dozen to a dozen windows on the go there's always somewhere else to look, and network is more of a factor than browser choice for me

Agree.
On the Mac though FF is pretty sh*t. So it's a good thing Safari 6 is so very "shexy" :D

Find the problem in the end, or is it still crashing repeatedly?

matt101101 / MOD  Aug. 15, 2012 at 23:46

I couldn't get it to crash, btw.

Using Firefox and it hasn't crashed yet.

Thanks.
It's been okay today.
Maybe I falsely blamed Mobot?

I think that may have been the case...

Yesterday I could not log in or click on my notifications, even though I saw I had notification. This was across Firefox and IE.
