10 months? Your Moto E is still under warranty.
Without a long story from you about what else is wrong, and what you have tried already, the best I can say is: have it exchanged. Mind you: wherever you bought it - they'll want to see the
bug in action; so they may take some time to replicate the fault.
Other than that? Any new apps? Anything side-loaded? A new memory card?
