Yes. If your network's okay with it. (most Irish networks don't allow it on prepay...)

Yep, any Android device running Android 2.2 or above can tether (as long as a network hasn't fiddled with the firmware to turn the feature off).

Oh and it will chew your battery big time.

You should have tried the original Desire on stock firmware with tethering enabled...I've never seen a battery deplete so rapidly haha :p!

My Huawei WiFi dongle lasts about 20 minutes - real on-the-go kinda stuff hahaha

Hmm, the us version? Or it's dramatically improved it's content? Or you'll watch any old guff?

What kind of terrible home broadband are you paying for!? Virgin Media's 120Mbps fibre optic is only £37.50 per month and you could probably get it cheaper than that if you haggled.

The UK version is still awful, though with a VPN it's pretty easy to access the US version in the UK.

That's unbelievably slow, I think I'd genuinely consider moving somewhere that has better internet. How much do you pay for the wonders of 2Mbps? Also, why not cancel it if your phone's faster?

Ahh, fair enough. I'm assuming you use it for the faster ping compared to mobile data?

Treab  Feb. 9, 2014 at 00:06

mainly for the downloading ;) but when the weather dies down sometimes it has a faster ping... but not often... the uks broadband = sh!t in the country.
