Through the week we caught our first fairly low-grade look at the upcoming Motorola Atrix 2, or the Edison if you prefer, but if you're keen on hearing more about Moto's next-gen powerhouse, today's your lucky day.
That's thanks to a full-hands on preview of the Atrix 2 over on ThisIsMyNext, complete with a library of 30+ pics.
As pointed out in our piece the other day, the original Atrix was trumpeted as “the world's most powerful smartphone” when Motorola first announced it, though it certainly wasn't by the time it finally went on sale in the UK.
And from what we know about its successor, Moto's marketing bods might have to work a bit harder, because an expected 1GHz OMAP 4 dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM is impressive enough, but isn't likely to make it the most powerful phone on the market.
The fact that the Atrix 2 seems pretty much good to go – and will have Android Gingerbread on board when it does – suggests that Motorola plans on getting the Atrix 2 on the market pretty soon, and certainly not in accordance with the usual 12-month release cycle we're used to seeing.
That's great news, of course, as we'll typically still have months to wait before we see the Atrix 2 on these shores, if Moto's past form is anything to go by.
