Remember the Motorola Atrix, initially revealed as “the world’s most powerful smartphone”? The poor old Motorola Atrix was ultimately overshadowed by the Samsung Galaxy S II, but hey! He’s coming back for a second shot.
The cheeky chaps at BGR have gotten their hands on some juicy Motorola Atrix 2 pics, with a sprinkle off specs to mull over.
The Motorola Atrix 2 apparently won’t be an LTE device like its predecessor, but that doesn’t mean quite as much to us 3G/HSDPA monkeys.
Suggested specs for the Motorola Atrix 2 include a dual-core processor (1.2 or 1.5GHz maybes), an 8MP camera, 1080p video capture and Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread). The original Motorola Atrix was 1GHz dual-core, with a 5MP camera and 720p vid cap.
We’re thinking the display will remain at 4in, since the Droid Bionic weighs in with 4.3in of screen real estate.
Will we see either the Droid Boinic or Motorola Atrix 2 on this side of the Atlantic any time soon? To be honest, we wouldn’t be surprised if we had to wait till Mobile World Congress if Moto’s past performance is anything to go by.
