It’s been a while since US mobile manufacturer Motorola has done anything of note. In fact, it’s been a while since US mobile manufacturer Motorola has done anything, period.
But the drought is tipped to end shortly, with no less than four phones getting the rumour treatment, and one of those – the Motorola Droid Ultra Maxx – has been leaked for your eyeballs.
The four phones in full are the Motorola Droid Ultra (XT1080), Droid Ultra Maxx (XT1080M), Droid M Ultra, and Droid Ultra Mini (XT1030) – with all four supposedly winging their way to US network Verizon.
As established last year, Motorola’s Maxx branding basically translates as “massive battery”. The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD, for example, has a meaty 3,300mAh juice unit.
There’s not a whole lot we can garner from the Motorola Droid Ultra Maxx piccie (posted on twitter by evleaks, incidentally).
The Motorola Droid Ultra Maxx buttons are clearly on the right, and there’s that familiar Kevlar texture along the bottom, but otherwise… we’re out.
The fifth phone in Motorola’s arsenal is of course the much-discussed Moto X. It’s expected to forgo face-punching specs in favour of rugged design, longish battery life, and possibly some innovative new features.
The latest Moto X rumour suggested the phone might launch as early as this week.
