Hey! Are you struggling to keep up with the three different Motorola Moto Gs, with the different display sizes, and the 4G and the 3G, and the microSD slot – or lack thereof?
Well, things are potentially about to get a little more confusinger, with the introduction of a fourth model, specifically a 2015 version of the Motorola Moto G 2014.
To recap: we had the first-gen Motorola Moto G with no microSD slot and no 4G; the Moto G 4G LTE was much the same, but addressed those particular shortcomings; and most recently we had the second-gen Moto G (or Moto G 2014), with a larger display (5in vs. 4.5in), enhanced rear camera (8MP vs. 5MP) and microSD slot, but - just to keep us on our toes - no 4G.
This new guy, let’s call it the Motorola Moto G 2015, essentially builds upon the Moto G 2014, most notably including 4G LTE compatibility.
The handset will likely be much the same as the Brazilian Motorola Moto G (pictured) we wrote about a few weeks ago, which means we can probably expect a larger 2,390mAh battery, and out-of-the-box Lollipop.
Since the Motorola Moto E 2015 has the newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, we’d be seriously surprised if the Moto G 2015 didn’t follow suit.
Another potential upgrade on the Motorola Moto G 2015 might be 16GB internal storage, though we don’t expect much to change with the 8MP/2MP cameras.
And that’s the Motorola Moto G 2015, as imagined by my brain.
Oh! Sorry! The whole point in this story was that Motorola has confirmed to uSwitch that a new Moto G is coming soon to Europe. Which we, er, pretty much knew already.
