Motorola Moto G 4G LTE hits the UK for £160 unlocked via Phones4U

Motorola Moto G 4G LTE hits the UK for £160 unlocked via Phones4ULG will no doubt sell a fair few G3s once it's available locally tomorrow, but we'd bet Motorola will sell more of its new 4G-happy Moto G now that you can also pick one of those up here in the UK.

Yup, the LTE-equipped Moto G, which also doubles the on-board storage, can now be had from Phones4U here in Blighty, and will be available from other retailers over the next few days.

It's no exaggeration to say the Moto G has totally transformed the low end of the smartphone market since its arrival last year, offering a value proposition that's blown many low-cost rivals totally out the water.

The new model is no dramatic step up, but does give you 4G LTE networking abilities, a doubled 16GB helping of storage and microSD card support.

That's on top of the 4.3in 720p display, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 5MP camera and Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

Phones4U has the Moto G with LTE free from £18.99 per month, for £150 on PAYG or for £160 unlocked, and is the only place you'll be able to pick one up in white before the end of July.

Should you be fine with the black, however, the 4G-equipped Moto G will be widely available by the weekend, and if even that price is too rich for you, will no doubt feature in a few deals here on Mobot over the weeks and months to come, so keep your eyes open.

It's 8GB only. Not 16.
