Motorola Moto G camera

How good is the Motorola Moto G camera? I wouldn't say I'm an avid photographer, but I do take a lot of pictures on my iPhone 4S.

Pretty average, not anywhere near as good as the 4S but definitely useable.

It's the phone my mom uses and here is a photo she uploaded to Instagram a couple weeks ago

Hmmm... I didn't use them side-by-side, but I thought the Moto G's camera was better than expected.

I thought the Moto G's camera was perfectly acceptable for general use. Yeah, it's no Nokia Lumia, but it's perfectly good for general picture taking.

I have photos taken on a Moto g and iphone 5c, I would not know which was taken on which if it was an outside pic, however in low light the Moto g is IMHO where it lets itself down

In good light, the Moto G can almost keep up with with a 5c or lower. However, as correctly stated in low light or for action shots the G doesn't stand a chance. In those areas the 5c and even the old 5 are much much better. The 4S, tbh, was nothing to write home about in terms of camera performance. It's just that Apple's cameras were so bad before the 4S that everyone got overly excited (and back then Android phone cameras were so poor that the usual trolls couldn't pipe up without sounding dumber than usual... )
