Motorola Motosmart: budget Android hitting UK this month

Motorola Motosmart: budget Android hitting UK this monthAlready available in the likes of Brazil and Italy, Motorola has confirmed that the Motosmart will arrive in the UK later this month.

With decidedly modest specs, the Motorola Motosmart will happily sit at entry-level, rocking a suitably low price tag of £79.99 (PAYG).

The Motorola Motosmart will also be available on contract, through Carphone Warehouse and T-Mobile, with monthly tariffs starting at just £7.

As for Motorola Motosmart specs, you can expect a 3.5in display (480 x 320), 3MP rear camera, 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor, and 512MB of RAM.

Internal storage is a miniscule 165MB, though you can stick a big fat 32GB microSD card in there if you fancy.

The Motorola Motosmart’s 1,400mAh battery should keep you in the game for a reasonable amount of time, given those modest specs.

With Gingerbread (Android 2.3) on board, the Motorola Motosmart is only two iterations of Android behind the latest version.

Thanks to the MotoSwitch software, the Motorola Motosmart, er, “simplifies life”. In reality, that means the Motorola Motosmart learns your favourite apps, songs and contacts, and keeps them at hand on the home screen.

When can you grab the Motorola Motosmart? End of July, baby.

With the G300 for £20 more (£10 when Tesco do their £10 off £xx spend) you have to really want a motorola to go for this. Horrible specs.
On the plus side I quite like the styling of the hardware.
