I mentioned the Pro and Fire the other day in Motorola: the year so far. I wasn’t entirely sure if both were being released in the UK, given Motorola’s lackadaisical attitude towards us, but it looks like that’s the case.
Clove has both the Motorola Fire and Motorola Pro (pictured) available for pre-order on its website. Closer inspection reveals that the Motorola Fire has significantly lower specs than the Pro, and will be significantly cheaper as a result.
The Motorola Fire runs Gingerbread (Android 2.3), with a 2.8in display (240x320), 600MHz processor, 3MP camera and 150MB internal storage. It’ll set you back £216.
The Motorola Pro (available in the US since November 2010) runs Froyo (Android 2.2), with a 3.1in display (320x480), 1GHz processor, 5MP camera and 8GB of internal storage. Those sexier specs lift the price to £420. Hmm, that seems pretty steep.
The Motorola Pro is expected later this month, and the Motorola Fire is due in late September.
