We’ve been hearing whispers about the Motorola Xoom 2 for some time now. Makes sense that Moto’d want to punt one out fairly quickly given the weighty 730g mis-fire that was the original Xoom. "iPad Killer"? Er, not quite.
Perhaps most notable is that there’ll be not one but two Motorola Xoom 2s. Other than the screen sizes – thought to be 10.1in and 8.2in – the specs are pretty much identical. They even share the codename “Fleming”.
And what of those specs? We’re hearing Android 3.2 (Honeycomb), 5MP rear cameras, 9mm thickness, dual-core 1.2GHz processors, 1GB RAM,1080p video recording, and HD Netflix streaming. There’s thought to be an optional keyboard and stylus too.
Sound good? Don’t get too excited just yet. Engadget’s source reckons the Motorola Xoom 2s are "buggy as all hell, with frequent reboots and crashes," so it could be some time before they hit ye olde market.
