There is one basic problem holding sales of the xoom back. "PRICE", its far too expensive.

Yep, price price price, Motorola are looking for too much of a margin on this tablet (didnt they look at the samsung tab and realise that)?
Drop the price to well under the iPad (£299 or less) and watch it take off
