We’ve got a pretty good idea what to expect from the Motorola Moto E when it launches on Tuesday next week, but in case there was any doubt, we have several leaks to ponder this weekend.
Specifically, it looks like we’re dealing with a smartphone that’s even cheaper than the Motorola Moto G, but with only marginally less impressive specs. Is low-end lightning about to strike twice for Team Moto?
Trusted twitter-based leak machine @evleaks shares a tweet aimed in his direction, reading: “this is Moto E black version.. leaked in Brazil”.
Not to be outdone by his followers, shortly thereafter, Evan himself tweeted: “Motorola Moto E in Turquoise and Lemon” with an accompanying picture.
Getting back to that Brazilian retailer leak, Fast Shop reckons Motorola Moto E specs include a 4.3in display, dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 4GB internal storage, and KitKat Android 4.4.
There’s no specific mention of Motorola Moto E resolution, but we’re thinking it’s probably 540 x 960 – maybe 720p at a push. As for storage, the Moto E will almost certainly (I’ll bet Jan’s trousers on it) come with a microSD slot.
Previously rumoured Motorola Moto E specs include a 5MP rear camera, 1,900mAh battery, 1GB of RAM, and a thickness of just 6.2mm – almost half as thin as the comparatively fat Moto G (11.6mm).
And that’s the Motorola Moto E. Price will be crucial, of course, but it’s tipped to come in as low as £62. Realistically we’re guessing more like £80, but in any case, we’ll get the full story on Tuesday.
